Let Her Choose

But, I still haven’t figured her out…

You can find this song on the “Who IS this guy?” Album if you look.

You can here it on Youtube, stream it anywhere and dream it in your bed.

This is another song that was originally built for a completely different story. But, that story was dumb fiction so, I replaced it with another ounce of insight into me. I can’t remember where the title - which used to be “Diamond Shoes” - comes from. It seems to have nothing to do with the story. Ah well!

The song moves fast and ,,… I like it!

Let Her Choose

A                     A                     A                     F#m
When I was just a little boy
A                     A                     A                     E7
All the big people said, “My, my, my!  What a smart little guy
A                      Aaug               F#m                A7
But, I didn’t think so. One thing I didn’t understand
D                     Dm                  E                      E
Girls. Just a mystery!

A                     A                     A7                   D
I can’t figure them out, not a snowball’s chance in hell
B                      B7                   E                      E
But, I don’t want to live without. Together would be better. I could tell
A                     A

When I was really young, there was this girl
She was perfect. She was a Dream
But near her, I was frozen, frozen in my tracks.
Surely if I talked to her, one of us would scream

Chorus

From time to time, a girl appears outa thin air
Everything about her just makes by mind explode
How come she’s over there. How come, she’s not with me?
Then she’s gone forever and no story will be told

Chorus

 Instrumental Verse & Chorus I

This kept on happening. Where do these girls hide?
Anguish paints my mind each time as I sit back and dream
How is a guy supposed to catch their eye?
The time and place were never there. Death to my esteem.

Chorus

Instrumental Verse & Chorus II x 2 with:
Then, one day I met a woman: pretty, funny and smart
Thought we might be friends, but then, love showed up
I don’t see pretty angels anymore
Love makes her perfect. Silly pup!

Chorus
