The most recent two of five guys.

The first two of five: my grandfather and father. Of these two pairs, only Jamie and my father managed to know each other. For the extremes, the timing was off.

A free listening opportunity is here. It’s on the “Fathers & Sons” album.

Sons

The song that represents the album title. It felt like time to say something about me/son/grandson. Recently, I was updating our Family tree and I noticed that for five generations in a row: my grandfather, my father, myself, my son and my grandson are all first borns. Good work, guys!

“Reach for the stars I could not touch,” I say
“Show me what can be done,”
“I hope I can be a man someday.
Who makes you smile and proud,” says the little one.

We are three men - somehow the same
Live separate stories. Few moments are shared
Tied at the heart by a common name
Praying each is as happy as our dreams for them dared
