Angels are Real

This song is about two women. It is primarily about the woman who woke me up and showed me how to be seen by, available for and appealing to the woman who would become my 'one and only.' For that effort that she made - and she made it effortlessly - I was deeply thankful and I call her my Angel ever since. She changed my life and set me up for what did come later. She knows who she is!  The lyrics also say a few things about dreams - at least, the nature of mine. To help with the ethereal theme, I tried to mimic the unreal sound of crickets played in very, very slow motion. If you have not heard that sound, check it out. This is a very beautiful song and the best choice to close out the "This is Love" album.

 Angels Are Real

A D A D E  Crickets intro

      A                     A
In dreams, I can fly
     A                      D
In dreams, I can die
        Bm   G   E
But, just in dreams

In dreams, I have you
In dreams, love is new
         Bm  G  E            E
But, just in dreams

               A                            D
But my dreams were only cruel?
              E             A
Playing me for a fool?
Bm                    G
What would it take
     E                           E
To find you when I wake

Angels are said to fly
Fantasy, but why
Are they just make believe?

Alone, I can try
Alone, I’ll die
But, just in time

An Angel came to me
And told me what could be
She touched a lost part of me
And she said, “You’ll see...

“In life, don’t ask why
In life, always try
Then, you’ll be fine

“In life, dreams come true
In life, she’ll find you
But, take your time”

My Angel let me go
My Angel let me know
Love can be mine

I met a woman just by chance
So began a great romance
My dream came to life that day
An Angel had shown the way

So Angels, they don’t fly
And Angels, yes they die
‘Cause, Angels are real

In dreams, I still fly
In life, I never cry
‘Cause Angels are real.
