Somewhere along the line, the finiteness of life occurs to each of us and we spend time contemplating what that means. My Mother said once she will just pop off like a flash of light. She told my sister that she ould become a little red bird and fly away. Some years later, when my sister was driving out of the cemetery when Mom was ‘put away’, a Cardinal flew alongside her car window for a while and then veered off. Flew away. True story!
