This isn’t Turkey but its close: The island of Hydra, Greece. This day was so perfect, so quiet that I could hear the bees buzzing. And of course, this old Greek was painting his boat. I prefer to believe that he has life figured out 100%
It’s on the “Fathers & Sons” album.
And Again
OK… I really like this one. We were watching Netflix one evening and we started a new series called ‘O Submarino’ (a Turkish series). In the opening scenes that defied the darkness of the rest of the story, the lead character is walking briskly and happily through the beachside streets lines of a Turkish village with kiosks and shops; sun shining; friends waving; everything fabulous and this song is playing. Loved its vibe so I tried to emulate it.
I can’t find the actual song (yet) so I have no idea how close I came to getting its sense. But, I like what I came up with. You will notice a constant, repetitive riff through out and it is (to my amazement) best underpinned by the simple chord progression that is common to 6,348,306 songs around the World. :)
And the music demands a happy story so - its all about things being perfect for two people, as things should be.

ad infinitum (2 variations)
Cool water soaks the sand
Footprints are yours and mine
Wandering ‘round hand in hand
Lost in love, lost in time.
High blue sky, deep azure sea
Dancing light is everywhere
This the World offers me
But, to you, it can’t compare
Beyond joy, my heart beams
I guess we talked. I don’t remember
A day copied from my dreams
Shoulders brush. My heart surrenders
Every bit of you head to toe
Begs a lifetime of attention
Your breasts dancing to and fro
took me to an unknown dimension
I beg this lasts forever.
How could there ever be more?
Then somebody pulled a lever
And your dress fell to the floor
“Everything you see is yours.”
You smiled and… my God - those eyes
You turn around. You smile, of course
“Shall we see if love flies?”

Cobblestones, table, wicker chairs
Cappuccinos, Crème Brûlée, outside
Two of us in love, free of cares
Love says, “Welcome inside.”
In my ear, softly you say,
“Show me if you can
And prove to me that this was not a dream today
By doing all this again.”
… and again.
