Jay’s Song
Recently, I was updating a family tree that goes back to the late 1700s. While doing this, I recognized something that I had never noticed. My grandfather, my father, myself, my son and Jay, my grandson were/are all first borns and boys. So, I point out this incredibly important feat to Jay via this song.
Socond story within… when I talked to my mother in her later years, she often referred to me as “number one.” I was dumb enough to believe her until one time, I phoned her and said, “Number One here” when she picked up. She said, “Tim?” WTF!!!! She has six kids and she ruined my day by saying, “You’re all number one to me”

You’re the first born son of a first born son
Who was the first born son of a first born son
And he too, you won’t believe was the first born son
Of a first born son of a first born son
That took a while
A five generation, staggering achievement
There’ll be no awards, no big sentiment
And you should realize the King’s not going to call.
Because, sad to say, it means nothing at all
But we smile
And life goes on as it always does
We watch all the others piss and moan
Because they come along a little bit later on
Just to find out – ooh, oo-oh, “You’re the one”
They know,…

Gaug To be alive
Em First to retire

A Ask if it’s true
D She says ‘no’
G You’re just # one”

Instrumental verse
So, raise a glass and make a toast to all of those guys
Say thank you gents and do a little dance
They would like to have met you, but some of them can’t
This song would make some sense If it had some importance
but it doesn’t.
