wrong

Jamie with the new, little man, Jay.

Find it on YouTube and streaming platforms and on the “Who IS this guy?” Album.

Well, this song is important. It is not mine! This song is by Jamie. I think he did it about 8-9 years ago and I have had a single-track recording of it since then. Then, Peter Jackson and the Beatles showed us the way - again. With on-line software, I was able to easily - in minutes - separate Jamie’s voice from his lone, acoustic guitar into separate tracks.

This let me add more tracks of other guitars, etc and control the balance between them. He did an interesting job with the guitar. I had to interpret the chords and I think I have them… ok! But, it is his voice that matters. As always, it’s so good. And the story is so heartfelt. The sentiment expressed is a real one that he has mentioned a few times over the years. I have already mentioned elsewhere that these days, he’s doing great.

Wrong

Am      Am      C          Em7  x2

 Am                  Am                             C             Em7
I remember when I was a tiny, tiny little kid
                        Am                  Am
I thought I owned the World

I remember back in my life when
I thought I would be a rich man
I was wrong again

                C                  E          Am
I’ve been wrong…                  before
Am                     C
Yeah, I’ve been wrong before
C                      E          Am x 2
And, I’m goddamn sure I’ll be wrong again

I remember a time in my life when
I thought I could hold everything in my hand
I was wrong again   Am x 2

I remember a time in my life when
                                                C                           E7
I thought I could have any girl I looked upon
I was wrong again      Am x 2

I’ve been wrong…                  before
Yeah, I’ve been wrong before
And, I’m goddamn sure I’ll be wrong again Amx2

 C          E          Am      Am      x4

I’ve been wrong…                  before
I’ve been wrong…                  before
I’ve been wrong before
And, I’m goddamn sure I’ll be wrong again

Am                  C
I’ve been wrong before
                        E                      Am-end
And, I’m goddamn sure I’ll be wrong again
