By the Sea

This is a song that was triggered by the acoustic guitar “lick” that you hear throughout. It sounded Mediterranean to me so I started to write a song about the Mediterranean - a sea that I have ventured to in modest ways near Cagnes sur Mer France, Portofino Italy and several places around Greece. There is something magical about all of these places.

I recall the lyrics came with difficulty as they did not capture and retain the Mediterranean feel as I wanted. In the end, one wonders if I am talking about the Sea, a person or God. My answer is … yes.
