You will find “giselle” on the “this is love” album

Giselle

The lyrics of the verses was something that I wrote down one day long before I put my mind to putting music to them. When the time came, I was in the mood for another rocker thing. Giselle is never mentioned in the song so the lyrics are wide open for anyone to use for their own 'number one'.  That said, it's all true here. If I had one dollar for every time she says, "Oh gosh" or "I told you", I would be stinking rich. And the little bits after that are definitely her.

Remember when an album was a big, plastic (vinyl) platter with a side A and a side B? In that tradition, this fast, lively song kicks off side B with a wake up call after the lazy finish of side A. Old school!

Giselle

A            A            D            E            E            A  A7

D               E          A                  F#m
What is it like to love and be loved?
              D                             Bm          E                    E7
Let me tell you about the day that she came my way.

   A                                    A                            D                        E            E7
I thought it was her smile, then she laughed
I thought it was her laugh, then light flashed in her eyes
I thought it was the bright light in her eyes, then she touched me

I thought it was her touch, then she kissed me
I thought it was her kiss, then she whispered, "I love you"

All of this is true for sure
But it’s not the best of her
It’s hard for you to see
What she does that matters to me

It’s the way she holds my hand, every day
It’s the way she hugs me tight, every night
Its because she calls me honey and she’s funny

“Oh gosh!"    "I told you”
Passionate rebel
Carefree precision
Chocolate philosophy
And more…
